The winner of Japan's richest race - the Arima Kinen on 22/12/07

Matsurida Gogh, the ninth pick in the 15-horse field, moved in front as the pack turned for home round the final bend and raced along the rail while holding off a charging Daiwa Scarlet by 1-1/4 lengths at Nakayama Racecourse in Chiba Prefecture. Matsurida Gogh covered the 2,500 meters in 2 minutes, 33.6 seconds, stealing the show from the likes of top favorite Maisho Samson and Vodka, two of the hottest stars in this year's top races in Japan.
